  On 11th November we arrived for a birthday Sunday lunch booked more than two weeks in advance (this was after calling over a month in advance and being asked to call back in the beginning of Nov due to a change in management) however our table was not ready, there was no heating on what was a very cold day (apparently all the wood for the log burner had been used up the day before) and they had run out of Sunday dinner. We understandably very disappointed as it was for my partners birthday with his mum and dad and I had chosen the venue so it was quite embarrassing for me to have picked somewhere which had made no attempt to make my partners birthday special. The Manager Dale was very apologetic and as we declined to stay and went elsewhere he offered us all (4 adults) a free Sunday dinner on another date. I emailed the restaurant a couple of weeks later to try and book in for our free meal but received a notification that the email address on the website was not valid. I then messaged them on Facebook as it said they were very responsive and usually replied within a day, however I received no reply. I then called them a few days later but the person who answered the phone said Dale had now been let go and I needed to speak to the new Manager who was currently too busy to come to the phone and so I was asked to call back later. My partner called back on a different day but the new Manager said there was now another owner and he wouldn’t honour the previously agreed free Sunday dinner and the best he could offer was 50% off a meal. We declined to make a booking which is a shame as a lot of people have given good reviews and I would have liked to have been able to do the same but overall I found my experience of Farm Bistro was one disappointment after another. I must say however we had a really lovely dinner at Le Bistrot Pierre instead.
